Culture Jam

In the first two sections of part one of the book the author gives us a lot to think about and makes some really interesting points about our society and what it is becoming. I don't feel that "detachment from nature" is as extreme of a problem as the author makes it seem, but I do think it's important for us to realize how society has changed. In one passage the author talks about plentitude and never really feeling truly satisfied. I do agree that we are too materialistic, but I feel that by telling us how meaningless our lives are, the author is trying to make us feel unsatisfied, when really most of us are happy. I personally like the way I live and my technology and it hasn't become a problem or taken over my life.
